Appam with thakkali vegetable kurma














 

Ingredients for Appam
Raw rice - 1 cup
urad dal - 1/4 cup
fenugreek - 1 tsp
coconut - 2 tbsp
Soak the ingredients for 3 hrs and grind it to a smooth batter, by adding coconut. Add salt and let it ferment for 8 hrs. Now, the batter is ready to make sweet appam!

Tomato vegetable kurma
Tomatoes - 4
onion - 1
vegetables (carrot&potato) - 1 cup
list 1
coconut - 1 tbsp
fennel seed - 1 tsp
garlic - 2 pods
ginger - 1 inc piece
garam masala - 1 tbsp
green chillies - 3
In a pan, add 2 tsp of oil. Add cut onions and saute it. Then add tomatoes and when it is soft, add the veggies. Add turmeric and fry it well. Meanwhile grind the ingredients in the list 1 and add it to the pan. Add water and salt as required and garnish it well with curry leaves and coriander leaves. Add lemon juice if required.

Reg Curry leaves rice, Since we will wash the curry leaves, it will have moisture in that, so when grinding it will be like a paste. dont add water, the moisture themself is suffiencient..keep visiting.

Appam and Kurma looks wonderful..Colorfu..mouthwatering

Hi, have been searching netfor Appam. your looks so simple and delicious. Will give a gry.. Do I need to add any baking soda to make it ferment faster?
