Homemade veggie pizza - Thin & crispy crust

Ingredients
All purpose flour 2 cups
Active dry yeast - 1 packet ( 7gms)
sugar - 1tbsp
Marinara sauce
mozzarella cheese
pizza toppings (onion, tomato, capsicum, broccoli)
olive oil - 3 tbsp
water - 1/2 cup
salt
  • In a bowl add 1 tbsp of sugar and the yeast. Mix it with 1/2 cup of warm water. Mix it thoroughly to avoid any lumps, cover it and place it in a warm place for 10-15 mins.
  • After 10 mins, this water would have raised and you could see a layer of bubbles and it means the water is ready.
  • Take 2 cups of flour, add salt as required. Now add the water, which is mixed with yeast and sugar.
  • Knead the flour and form a dough. Add oil as required. Knead is thoroughly for about 10 mins.
  • Now place the kneaded dough in a bowl and cover it with a moist cloth ( For this I used light cotton towel make it moist with hot water) and keep it in a warm place for about 1 1/2 hours.
  • The dough would have raised well now. Add oil as required and knead it well again and leave it covered for half an hour more.
  • Meanwhile get ready with all the other ingredients. Sauce, cheese, toppings.
  • Take a pizza sheet or just the aluminium foil. Grease it with oil.
  • When the pizza dough is ready, you can just spread the dough in the foil, the crust can be thin or thick pan pizza.
  • Then spread the sauce. Add the preferred toppings and yes cheese very liberally.
  • I used conventional oven. Preheat oven to 450 and cook the pizza for 25 - 30 mins.
  • Yummy pizza is ready! If you want it spicy you can add red crushed pepper or jalapeno peppers.
