Quick simple vegetable biriyani

quick simple vegetable biriyaniIngredients:
List 1

fennel seeds - 1 tsp
cloves - 2
cinnamon - 1 inch piece
Ginger garlic paste
List 2
Onion - 1 medium sized
tomato - 2 medium sized
Green chillies - 4
Diced vegetables (carrot, beans, peas, turnip, cauliflower) - 2 cups
List 3
Basmathi rice - 2 cups
lemon juice - 1 tbsp
curd - 1 tbsp

In a pan, add oil, when it is heated add items in list 1 and saute it. Then add items in the list 2 in the order and saute it well. Meanwhile soak the basmathi rice in water for 20 mins. Now drain the rice and just add it to the sauteed veggies in the pan and toss it for couple of minutes. Now transfer it to the rice cooker. Add 4 cups of water and then add salt, curd and the lemon juice. Now mix it all a well and turn on the rice cooker. You are all set!
